Roanne M. “Ronnie” Loukas Apodiakos, 85, of Monessen, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018, in Mon Valley Care Center, Monongahela.
Mrs. Apodiakos was born April 27, 1932, in Monessen, a daughter of the late Michael and Marie Gramatikos Loukas.
She was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, Monessen. She was also a member of the church’s Philoptocus Society and Auxiliary.
Prior to her retirement, she worked as a secretary for Culligan Water.
Surviving are a son, Michael and wife Vicki Apodiakos of Washington; a daughter, Maria and husband Chad Feher of Monessen; grandchildren Helene Apodiakos, Kady Apodiakos and fiancé David Landman, Eric and wife Natalie Apodiakos and Chase, John and Loukas Feher; great-grandsons Bryan and Tyler Clark and Dash and Dylan Apodiakos; sisters-in-law Katherine Alatsis and Kalliopi Apodiakos; daughter-in-law Debi Stein and her daughters, Kayla and Jenelle Stein; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The staff at Mon Valley Care center provided her with exceptional care over the years.
Deceased are her husband, John Apodiakos; son George M. Apodiakos; and a brother, George “Chico” Loukas.
Friends will be welcome from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Rhome Funeral Home Inc., 1209 Grand Boulevard, Monessen. An additional visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m., the time of service, Saturday, April 14, in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, Monessen, with Father Joseph Cervo officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Trisagion services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church of Monessen.
