Eileen Cheti Carson, 82, of Belle Vernon, Washington Township, died Saturday, April 14, 2018, in UPMC-Shadyside hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born January 29, 1936, in Sheboygan, Wis., she was a daughter of the late Reno and Helen Lynch Cheti.
A resident of Belle Vernon for over 60 years, Mrs. Carson was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Pittsburgh, was a graduate of Seton Hill College and was a retired sales and service representative from Manasha Corp.
Eileen had also volunteered for Meals on Wheels and on the heart floor at Mercy Hospital.
She is survived by her husband, Leon Carson, to whom she was married for 62 years; four children, Regina Stottlemyer, Dennis and Denise Carson, Jeffrey and Cindy Carson, all of Fallowfield Township, and Lisa and Mark Williams of Smithton; 13 grandchildren, Tara, Rebecca, Jaclyn, Kelsey, Keith, Kevin, Sarah, Brandon, Erin, James, Dakota, Rachel and Ryan; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Cynthia Kinder of Dunlevy.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Carson; two grandchildren, Katelin Williams and Sean Stottlemyer; and sister Rena Cheti.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Parzynski Funeral Home and Cremations, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Prayers of Transfer will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, in the funeral home, followed by funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. Interment will take place in Maple Creek Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian Parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Eileen Carson at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Eileen Carson to American Heart Association.
