Charleen Workman Hoffman, 94, of Venetia, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018, in Washington Hospital.

She was born December 15, 1923, in Greene County, a daughter of the late Andrew and Cora Wendt Workman.

Mrs. Hoffman was a 1942 graduate of Cameron (W.Va.) High School. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in McMurray, where she was a member of United Methodist Women and Daytimers group.

She was employed as a registered nurse by various hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio, prior to retiring from St. Luke’s Hospital, Cleveland, in 1983.

Mrs. Hoffman enjoyed reading, knitting hats for the Salvation Army, cross-stitch and needlework.

In 1979, she married Brasil E. Hoffman, who passed away in 1989.

She was the last of her immediate family.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon, the time of services, Monday, April 23, in Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home LLC, 3275 West Roy Furman Highway, Rogersville, PA 15359 (724-499-5181), with Pastor Jeffrey Vanderhoff officiating. Burial will follow in Braddock Cemetery, Graysville.
