Guy Anthony Turturice

Guy Anthony Turturice, 74, of California, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 21, 2018, with his family by his side.

He was born Friday, August 20, 1943, in Brownsville, a son of the late Dominic and Martha W. Beatty Turturice.

Guy was a member of the former California American Legion JFK Post 377 and California Hill Gun Club.

He was a coal miner and a teacher in California Area School District for many years. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Guy was preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish his memory are sons and daughters-in-law Guy L. Turturice and wife Robin of St. Albans, W.Va., and Lane Turturice and wife Janine of Washington; twin brother Jesse Turturice and wife Brenda of Rodgers, Ohio, and brother Dean Turturice and wife Marsha of Rodgers; and seven grandchildren, Lance, Rhianna, Rhylee, Ethan, Lauren, Christian and Laken.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Mariscotti Funeral Home Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, in United Christian Church DOC, Coal Center. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery, California.
