Frank Z. Dessify
Frank Z. Dessify, 61, of Canonsburg, died Thursday, April 19, 2018, in Washington Hospital, after suffering for three months from complications following outpatient hernia surgery.
He was born November 19, 1956, in Allegheny County, a son of the late Zolton F. Dessify.
He worked in construction and warehouse jobs before an early retirement due to a back injury.
Frank loved cats and was dedicated to caring daily for a group of outdoor cats by providing them with food, shelter and medical care. His life revolved around these cats, and he went to great lengths to make sure they were spayed, neutered and vaccinated. He was especially devoted to his two indoor cats, Stinker and Mr. Button, and was looking forward to getting out of the hospital to see them.
Frank leaves behind his good friends, Walt Smith and Freeda Beck, Betty Murdy, Lee Wilson, Gina Nestor and many others.
Funeral services and burial in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg, were private. Arrangements were entrusted to Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L.
