Charles M. Walker Jr.
Charles M. “Bud” Walker Jr., 78, of Nemacolin, died Monday, April 23, 2018, in Rolling Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation, Waynesburg.
Mr. Walker was born March 7, 1940, in Carmichaels, a son of the late Charles M. and Annie Sloneker Walker.
On September 6, 1962, Bud married Marla Gency, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Charles M. Walker III (Liz) of Carmichaels and Eugene Scott Walker and John Thomas Walker (Peggy), both of Nemacolin; a daughter, Krisann Marie Walker Tackett of Nemacolin; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Annetta Kiger (Donald) of Carmichaels.
Deceased are two brothers, Donald “Mouse” Walker and William “Bill” Walker.
Mr. Walker served his country in the U.S. Army in the 1960s.
He worked at the former Ferek’s Atlantic Station as a mechanic and retired as a bus driver for First Student in Carmichaels Area School District.
Mr. Walker enjoyed putting in a garden and repairing cars. He was a member of American Legion Post 400, Carmichaels.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, April 27, in Paul M. Lesako Funeral Home Inc., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, PA 15320, 724-966-5100, where services will begin at 11:05 a.m. Friday. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Township. Full military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 400 and the U.S. Army.
