Robert E. Kiefer Sr.

Robert E. Kiefer Sr., 79, of Clarksville, Deemston Borough, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018, in Mon Valley Hospital.

He was born July 10, 1938, in Fredericktown, a son of the late John and Gladys Sellars Kiefer.

Mr. Kiefer was a 1957 graduate of East Bethlehem High School.

He was a mold maker for Findlay Refractories in Washington, retiring after 38 years of service.

Mr. Kiefer was a member of auto workers union, National Rifle Association, Loyal Order of Moose in Washington and Abate.

He enjoyed fishing and riding motorcycles.

On October 23, 1969, he married Patricia Ball Kiefer, who survives.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Margaret Rossell (Roger Tesseneer) of Latimore, N.C.; three sons, James Thomas of Waynesburg, Robert E. Kiefer Jr. of Clarksville and Joseph L. Kiefer (Melissa) of Jefferson; seven grandchildren, Melinda Haberman, Christopher Rossell, Aaron Kiefer, Michael Kiefer, Hanna Cowger, Luke Kiefer and Ellie Kiefer; great-grandchild, Tracey Lynch; two sisters, Dorothy Chapman (Albert) of Fredericktown and Maryann Vihlidal (William) of Bentleyville; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, are two brothers, John and James Kiefer.

A memorial visitation/funeral service will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, in Greenlee Funeral Home, 42 Bank Street at Crawford Road, Fredericktown, where services will be held at 8:30 p.m. with Pastor Alan Overly officiating. Interment will be private.
