Deysha Lynn Phillips Hopkins, 39, of Waynesburg, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018, as the result of a motorcycle accident. Her husband, James Michael Hopkins, also passed away in the same accident.

She was born August 23, 1978, in Washington.

Deysha was a graduate of Washington High School and Washington Institute of Technology, where she learned welding.

She worked as a secretary for Wades Auto Body in Waynesburg.

Deysha enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and she loved all animals.

Surviving are her parents, Terry and Dru Ann Beatty Thomas of Waynesburg; her father, George Steadman of Belle Vernon; two daughters, Sierra Dawn Phillips and Sadie Jo Phillips, both of Waynesburg; the father of her children, Joseph Phillips of Waynesburg; three brothers, Matt Fanase of Monaca, Peter Fanase of Waynesburg and David Steadman; and sister Jessica Amicarella of Charleroi.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheyenne Renee Phillips.

There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High Street, Waynesburg.
