Pamela Louise Marie Olshack DeJohn
Pamela Louise Marie Olshack DeJohn, 71, lost her battle with dementia Tuesday, July 31, 2018, in Townview Health and Rehabilitation Center, Canonsburg.
A daughter of the late Joseph A. “Red” Olshack and the late Josephine A. Shankovich Olshack, she was born November 4, 1946, in Canonsburg, and was a 1964 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School.
Prior to her battle with dementia, Pamela enjoyed spending time with her family, dancing, shopping, gardening and decorating her home. She selflessly spent many years of her life taking care of others, before sadly losing the ability to take care of herself.
She was the loving wife of Thomas M. DeJohn, her husband of 31 years, who was her ultimate caregiver and whose love was constant and unconditional throughout her life.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a sister, Judith (Butch) Woznichak of Canonsburg; four daughters, Kim (Larry) Stephenson of Maidens, Va., Amy (Willie) Ammons of Washington, Trenae Caruso of Washington and Taira (Jaret) Whitney of Tavares, Fla.; grandchildren Dalton Ammons, Savannah Ammons, Kadyn Caruso and Kyler Caruso of Washington, Richard (Cameron) Stephenson, Becky Stephenson, Alan (Beth) Stephenson and Emily (Keith) Herbert of Virginia and Gavin Powell and JW Whitney of Florida; sisters-in-law Della Hritsko of Washington and Shirley (Stogie) Broglia of Cecil; great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Amie Smith of Virginia; and many nephews and nieces.
In addition to her parents, deceased is a granddaughter, Gabrielle Jones.
Friends and family will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday in Mario L. DeAngelo Funeral Home, 194 East College Street, Canonsburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 4, in the funeral home with the Rev. Steve Parkhill officiating. Burial will be held at Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg, at a later date.
