Albie Grybosky

Albie “Chubby” Grybosky, 93 of Ellsworth, (Cokeburg Junction), passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018, in Canonsburg Hospital.
He was born April 17, 1925, in Bentleyville, a son of the late William and Susan Grandolski Grybosky.
Albie was a 1943 graduate of Bentleyville High School and served with the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946 in North France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. For his service he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with four bronze stars and the World War II Victory Medal.
Mr. Grybosky retired in 1986 from Beth Energy Mine 60 with 45 years of service and was a member of United Mine Workers of America.
Chubby was a strict vegetarian his entire life. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, canning and cooking. He also enjoyed fishing at Cokeburg Dam and Pymatuning Lake.
Mr. Grybosky was a member of Bentleyville American Legion Post 165 and Lithuanian Club of Bentleyville.
Surviving are a daughter, Susanna Margie (John) of Washington; a son, James Olson (Yolanda) of Wake Forest, N.C.; five grandchildren, GiGi Janney (Matthew), Shannon Esposito (Daniel), Greg Mulac (Peggy), James Olson (Michelle) and Shawn Mulac; seven nephews, Gary Grybosky, Ron Gust (Karen), Victor Tebalt, Robert Tebalt, Jeff Tebalt, Vince Tebalt (Johanne) and Stanley Gust; and many great-grandchildren, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are his beloved wife, Elizabeth Weidosh Grybosky, who died June 2, 1992; a brother, Leo Grybosky; and two sisters, Stella Tebalt and Eleanor Gust.
Friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday in Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, where services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, August 6. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Township. Military rites will be accorded by Bentleyville American Legion Post 165 and the U.S. Army.
