Catherine M. Evans
Catherine M. “Toots” Evans, 81, of Bentleyville, died Tuesday, July 31, 2018, in The Grove at Washington.
She was born June 24, 1937, in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late William Franks and Opal Elizabeth Grimm.
Mrs. Evans worked at Frankie Amusements.
She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, and enjoyed reading.
On October 16, 1966, she married Joseph Louis Evans, who died October 14, 1989.
Surviving are three sons, Joseph John (Patricia McLaughlin) Balko of Washington, Michael Jerome (Dawn) Rose of Canonsburg and James Louis (Sherry Roland) Gatewood of Duquesne; two brothers, Ronald and William Franks; four sisters, Patricia Truxel, Linda Franks, Barbara Franks and Janet Campbell; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two daughters-in-law, Amy Gatewood and Rose Gatewood.
Deceased is a son, Joseph Louis Gatewood.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 7. Burial in Washington Cemetery will be private, and held at the convenience of the family.
