Paul L. Plants, 66, of Washington, died unexpectedly Saturday, August 4, 2018, in Washington Hospital.

He was born January 7, 1952, in Washington.

Mr. Plants was a retired police officer for Cecil Township. He then retired from John Sisson Motors, Washington, where he worked as an assistant parts manager.

His hobbies included ham radio (W3PLP), fishing and hunting. He was the former chairman of Western Pennsylvania Repeater Council.

On January 7, 2017, he married Patty Marshall, who survives.

Also surviving are his mother, Dorothy Plants of Washington, and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased is a brother, James Plants.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m., the time of service, Wednesday, August 8, in Hummell & Jones Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, Thomas W. Hummell, supervisor, Douglas M. Jones, director, with Pastor Rick Bruckner and Pastor Carl Sprowls officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Patty Marshall, in care of Wesbanco, 1003 Trinity Circle, Washington, PA 15301, to assist the family with funeral expenses.
