Olive Pearl Temple

Olive Pearl “Cookie” Temple, 89, of Washington, died Monday, August 6, 2018, in Evergreen Assisted Living, Washington.

She was born May 25, 1929, in McMechen, W.Va., a daughter of the late Harry W. And Nellie Wiseman Gump. She was the last of her immediate family.

Olive worked at Tygart Valley/Brockway Glass plant for 33 years. After retirement, she volunteered for hospice at Washington County Health Center, Meals on Wheels and Humbert Lane Health Center, where she became employed as activity assistant for six years.

She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and traveling, including short and long trips to scenic views of lakes and trips to mountain resorts and many casinos with her husband, Donald W. Temple Sr.

On May 5, 2001, in Clark County, Nev., she married Donald W. Temple Sr., who survives.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, are a sister, Mary Crow, and an infant brother.

At the request of the deceased, all arrangement are private. Arrangements are entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Citizens Library, 55 South College Street, Washington, PA 15301, or Washington Area Humane Society, P.O. Box 66, Eighty Four, PA 15330.
