Margaret Jean Rudy Tucker
Margaret Jean Rudy Tucker, 95, of McDonald, died Saturday, August 11, 2018, in her home.
She was born November 17, 1922, in Midway, a daughter of the late James W. and Elizabeth Sherman Campbell.
Mrs. Tucker was a 1940 graduate of Midway High School. She worked as a clerk for the former G.C. Murphy Co. in McDonald, the former Ames Department Store in Robinson Township and the former Ideal Cleaners in McDonald. She retired in 1995.
She was a member and past president of American Legion Auxiliary Post 485 of McDonald, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 567 of McDonald and a member of Center United Presbyterian Church in Midway.
On March 20, 1959, she married Gilbert S. “Bee” Tucker, who died November 21, 2006.
Surviving are three sons, Gilbert V. (Bonnie) Tucker of Chandler, Ariz., C. Thomas (Patty) Rudy of Bulger and Jon S. (Kim) Tucker of Tridelphia, W.Va.; two daughters, W. Jeanne (Daniel) Matlack of Imperial and Brenda L. (Nolan) Vance of Bavington; 11 grandchildren; and many great and great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are six brothers, Thomas, Richard, James, Owen, Clark and Ralph Campbell, and six sisters, Stella Sawhill, Rebecca Kargle, Zoe Pounds, Irma Bell, Elizabeth Davis and Leah Peck.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m., the time of services, Thursday, August 16, in Nation Funeral Home Inc., 220 East Lincoln Avenue, McDonald, with the Rev. Brian Kilbert, pastor of Center United Presbyterian Church officiating.
