Marilyn Brehl
Marilyn Brehl, 82, of Kennesaw, Ga., formerly of Washington and Castle Rock, Colo., died Saturday, August 11, 2018, in her daughter’s home in Marietta, Ga.
She was born April 5, 1936, in Morgantown, W.Va., a daughter of the late Eugene and Mary Findlay Hibner.
Mrs. Brehl grew up in Uniontown and graduated from Uniontown High School.
A dance instructor, she owned a local dance school for several years.
She also worked as a nursing assistant for many years at Humbert Lane.
Mrs. Brehl also was a caretaker for her parents, daughter and grandchildren.
She especially loved spending time with her family.
Mrs. Brehl also loved nature and animals as well as the mountains and bird watching.
On June 20, 1964, she married Charles Brehl, who died February 8, 1971.
Surviving are a daughter, Dianna (Mike) Colcombe of Marietta, and two grandchildren, Amanda Colcombe (Bryce) Kitchen of Dallas, Ga., and Michael Colcombe of Marietta.
Deceased is an infant brother.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Friday, August 17, in Immaculate Conception Church, 119 West Chestnut Street, Washington. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery.
