Perry H. Lemley Sr.

Perry H. Lemley Sr., 76, of Waynesburg, died at 5:15 a.m. Sunday, August 12, 2018, in Washington Hospital.

He was born Saturday, September 13, 1941, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Robert Lee Lemley Sr. and Esther Alene Crouch Weitzel.

Mr. Lemley was Protestant by faith. He was a member of Waynesburg Moose Lodge 461 and Waynesburg American Legion Post 330. He loved hunting, fishing and especially spending time with his family and friends.

He worked as a coal miner at Beth Energy and the Emerald Coal Mine in Waynesburg.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Clayton Lemley, whom he married September 2, 1961.

Also surviving are three daughters, Sherri Lemley of Waynesburg, Kim Adamson and husband Russell of Waynesburg and Casey Jo Robinson and husband Charles of Mt. Morris; son Perry Lemley Jr. and wife Landa of Fredericktown; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was the last of his immediate family.

Deceased are sister Elda Darlene Taylor and five brothers, Robert Lee Lemley Jr., Harry LeRoy Lemley, Charles Edward Lemley, Daniel Ray Lemley and Ulysses Grant Lemley

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton owner/director, 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, August 17, with Pastor Tim Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Township, Greene County.
