John F. Moore
John F. “Jack” Moore, 87, of McDonald, died Friday, August 17, 2018, in Townview Health and Rehabilitation Center, Canonsburg.
He was born November 29, 1930, in Bradford, a son of the late Harry M. and Ernestine Kightlinger Moore.
Mr. Moore graduated from Grove City College in 1952 with a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
He retired from Neville Chemical in 1997 as chief engineer. He also worked as a chemical engineer for Kopper’s in Pittsburgh. After retiring, he worked several years for Nation Funeral Home in McDonald.
Mr. Moore was a member of St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, McDonald. He was a member of the Masonic Blue Lodge and Coudersport Consistory.
He enjoyed reading, puzzles and watching sports, especially the Steelers. He also loved following his son’s football games, both when they played and when they coached.
On February 12, 1988, he married Victoria A. Lukasiewicz Druga, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Rich (Nancy) Druga of McDonald and Mark (Teresa) Druga of Coraopolis and three grandchildren, Jake Druga, who called him grandpa Jack, and Jackson and Carter Druga, who called him Papa Jack.
Deceased is a daughter, Kelly.
A blessing service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, August 19, in St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, 219 West Lincoln Avenue, McDonald, with the Rev. Ben Vaghetto officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Nation Funeral Home Inc., McDonald.
