James A. “Jim” Ashton, Esq., 90, of West Alexander, died Monday, August 20, 2018, in Premier Washington Health Center, Chartiers Township.
He was born January 17, 1928, in Glassport, a son of the late James A. Ashton and Julia Goshio Ashton.
Jim was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in World War II.
A longtime attorney, Jim practiced civil and criminal litigation in Allegheny and Washington counties.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Marleen Ashton, Esq.; son David (Brad Dobrein) Ashton; brother Phillip Ashton; sister Edna Ashton; daughter-in-law Norma Ashton; and his beloved German shepherd dog, Amy.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, is son Dr. James M. Ashton.
A celebration of life will be held later. Arrangements were entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
