Nell Ross Aiken
Nell Ross Aiken, 94, of Friendship Village, formerly of Peters Township, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 28, 2018, surrounded by her loved ones.
Nell was born September 3, 1923, in Waynesburg, to Bethel and John Ross.
In 1945, she proudly graduated from Waynesburg College, where she met the love of her life, the late George Miller Aiken, affectionately known as “Aikey.” They were married for 60 years following his service in World War II, until his death in 2006.
She was a longtime member of Peters Creek Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are her loving sister, Jean House; sister-in-law, Carol Russo; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Evans, and two brothers, John and William Ross.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Beinhauer Family Funeral Homes, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, where a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 1. Interment will be private.
