James Albert White

James Albert White, 86, of Marianna, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 29, 2018, in Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, after a lengthy illness.

He was born June 4, 1932, in Philadelphia, Germantown Hospital, a son of the late Albert and Claire Gertrude Schaettle White.

On February 5, 1966, he married Ruth Marie Lawson, who survives.

Mr. White was a retired dental technician.

He was a longtime associate of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and enjoyed many friendships within his church and community.

James loved spending time outdoors. Fishing, hunting, boating, and gardening were his favorite activities. He was a longtime member of Pittsburgh Downriggers.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are six daughters, Marylee Krykewycz of Sicklervile, N.J., Ruth White Kinder of Fredericktown, Dawn White Brown of Munhall, Barbara Ann Stuttler of Smithfield, Susan Ellen White of Marianna, and Beverly White Battagglia of Mather; two sons, James A. White Jr. of Raleigh, N.C., and Austin James White of Marianna; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a brother, George H. White, and a sister, Carol Ann Richards Bullock.

Graveside services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 W. High St., Waynesburg. Condolences may be offered at www.behmfh.com.
