Lois Jean Lyle, 86, of Burgettstown, passed away Thursday evening, August 30, 2018, in The Greenery Center, Canonsburg, where she had been a resident for the past two and a half years.
She was born March 14, 1932, a daughter of the late Jules and Anna Kerin Diesel.
Born and raised in Canonsburg, she graduated from Chartiers-Houston High School.
Mrs. Lyle was a dedicated homemaker, avid reader and enjoyed doing word searches.
Her husband, John Henry Lyle Sr., who she married September 16, 1954, survives.
In addition to her husband, surviving are her three children, John Henry Lyle Jr. of Huron, Ohio, Terry Yoho and husband Lester of Weirton, W.Va., and Antoinette “Toni” Lyle of Washington; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Ian Lyle and Melissa and Billy Yoho; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are two brothers, Charles and Gerald Diesel, and two sisters, Marlene Cathers and Geraldine Nestor.
To honor Mrs. Lyle’s wishes, services and interment in Forest Lawn Gardens Cemetery, McMurray, will be held privately for her immediate family.
Due to the exceptional care she received by the nurses and staff, memorial donations may be made in her memory to The Greenery Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, 2200 Hill Church-Houston Road, Canonsburg, PA 15317.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lee and Martin Funeral Home, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown.
