Nicole Morris, 47, of Bridgeville, formerly of Avella, passed away Friday, August 31, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born May 5, 1971, in Washington, she was a cherished daughter of James J. and Toni Venditti Morris; loving sister of Andrea (Dino) DeFabbo and Jason (Jill) Morris; beloved aunt of Isabella and Sam DeFabbo and Rudy Morris; niece of Mia (Tim) Daudet, Rudy Venditti and Valencia (Terry) Walker; and loving cousin to many.

Nicole graduated from Avella High School, earned her bachelor of science in special education at California University of Pennsylvania and worked as a teacher in Washington and Chartiers-Houston. She received her master of science in educational leadership and worked as a principal for Intermediate Unit (IU) in East Franklin, Chartiers-Houston, Bethel Park, Brownsville and Washington. She was a member of CEC Council for Exceptional Children and volunteered for the Special Olympics.

Nicole loved spending time with family and friends, especially her niece and nephews.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, September 3, in Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, 412-221-3333. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 4, in Holy Child Parish, Bridgeville. Guests are asked to meet at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Family Hospice and Palliative Care.
