Sophia Samanski, 94, of Midway, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018, in Asbury Heights, Pittsburgh.

She was born November 21, 1924, a daughter of the late Joseph and Susan Vignovich Borovich.

Sophia was a member of Midway United Methodist Church and a card club. She enjoyed baking for her family and friends.

Surviving are loving caregivers Mary Jane Busic, nephew Sam Busic and niece Liz Borovich. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor A. Samanski, who died in 1992; brothers and sisters Marie Daidone Zora Busic, Bess Smith and Pete, Sam, Dan, Nick and Bert Borovich; niece Maureen Busic; nephew Pete Borovich; and sister-in-law Shirley Borovich.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon, the time of service, Wednesday, December 5, in Thomas-Little Funeral Service Inc., 106 St. John Street, Midway. Interment will be held in Center Cemetery, Midway.
