Charles R. Harris
Charles R. Harris, 82, of Avella, passed away in his sleep Sunday, December 2, 2018, in his home.
He was born July 27, 1936, in Beckley, W.Va., a son of the late Charles Emery and Ethel Salisbury Harris.
Charles lived a good life and raised his family in and around the areas of Washington and Avella, believing no place was better. He spent more than 40 years working as a successful electrician and had a love for old cars, including his restoration of a 1955 Chevy, which won many awards.
On November 4, 1955, in Avella, he married Angeline M. Simonetti, who survives.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 63 years, are two sons, Charlie and Lisa Harris of Clearwater, Fla., and Rich and Roz Harris of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two grandchildren, Richie Harris and LeAnn Harris; two sisters, Loretta Couts of Washington and Sharon Reynolds of Sheraden; two brothers, Bob and Paulette Harris of Claysville and Kenny Harris of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Jerome A. Stefkovich Funeral Home Inc., 18 Campbell Street, Avella, PA 15312, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 6, with Pastor Paul Harrington officiating. Burial will be in West Middletown Cemetery.
