Jeffrey “Jeff” Woodburn Spencer, 68, of Waynesburg, formerly of Morgantown, W.Va., passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018, in Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg.

Jeff was born December 23, 1949, in Morgantown, a son of the late John Woodburn Spencer and Lenore White Spencer.

Jeff served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was a lifelong history buff and West Virginia University fan. In his early days, he was a basketball player for West Virginia University.

Jeff is survived by his children, Jessica Lenore Whyte and husband Justin, Marissa Spencer and Justin Woodburn Spencer; grandchild Bristol Lenore Whyte; and sister Judy Melton and husband Bob.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will begin at 5 p.m. Friday, December 7, in Rolling Meadows Church of God, 595 Rolling Meadows Road, Waynesburg, with the Rev. Richard Berkey officiating.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation services will be provided by Hastings Funeral Home, Omega Crematory, Morgantown.
