Sylvia Brioli, 59, of Carmichaels, died Saturday, December 1, 2018, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va., with her husband by her side. She had suffered complications from a recent heart surgery.

Sylvia was born July 13, 1959, in Kaiserslautern, Germany, to Irmhild Davis, who survives, and the late Hans-Dieter Heins. She was a stepdaughter of the late Harold K. Davis.

Sylvia traveled the world through her stepfather’s military career, until they settled in Jefferson, where she was a 1977 graduate of Jefferson-Morgan High School.

On December 11, 1982, Sylvia married Jeffrey S. Brioli, who survives. Together they shared 39 wonderful years and had two children.

She was owner of Sylvia’s Salon and loved her job and her customers. Sylvia enjoyed volunteering with White Covered Bridge Association and spending time with her family. She loved doting over her grandson, whom she described as her “true joy.” Sylvia was a devoted wife, loving mother, true friend and beautiful soul.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are son Daniel S. Brioli; daughter Maria N. Loring and husband Charles; grandson Owen C. Loring; four brothers, Richard Davis and wife Cindy, Dieter Heins, Mario Heins and wife Silke and Sascha Heins; two sisters, Maryann Ealy and husband Joseph and Gabi Gangei; several nieces and nephews; and a great-niece and several great-nephews.

A private ceremony will be held for the immediate family and a public memorial ceremony and celebration of her life will be held in 2019. More information will be published at a later date.
