Laura E. Kidder, 40, of Washington, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018.

She was born March 29, 1978, in Washington, a daughter of Robert L. Kidder of Charlotte, N.C., and the late Linda Backner Kidder.

Miss Kidder, as she was known by all who knew and loved her, was a woman who always knew what she wanted as well as the means by which to get it. Her meaning in life came directly through an endless quest for pop, ice cream and cake.

Surviving, in addition to her father, are a brother, Ryan C. Kidder (Jeff Mattes) of Washington, D.C.; a sister, Heather L. Henry (Olivier) of Charlotte; three nieces, Chloe, Sophie and Lucy Henry; an aunt, Susan Petritis (Bob) of Washington; an uncle, Jeff Kidder of Canonsburg; several cousins; and her wonderful Pathways family.

Deceased, in addition to her mother, are her grandmothers whom she was particularly fond of, Liz Kidder and Helen Cooklis.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon, the time of service, Wednesday, December 12, in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342. Her aunt, the Rev. Susan Petritis, will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
