Leroy E. Preston Jr.

Leroy E. Preston Jr., 48, of Weirton, W.Va., formerly of Langeloth, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes Monday, December 10, 2018, in his home.

He was born November 28, 1970, a son of Leroy E. Preston Sr. and Alice Noga Preston of Langeloth.

A 1990 graduate of Burgettstown High School, he also completed training in mechanics and auto body at Western Area Career and Technology Center and worked for Carter Lumber in Atlasburg for 25 years. Most recently, he was employed as a security guard by Kellington Protection Services.

An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as using his carpentry and woodworking skills to build houses. He also enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Michelle Farrell Preston; stepchildren Natasha Decker and Zachary Capps; two sisters, Michelle Morgan and husband Bradley of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Debbie Bender and husband Mike of Langeloth; brother Michael Preston of Cherry Valley; his father and mother-in-law Lloyd and Betty Leasure; and several adored nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Lee and Martin Funeral Home, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 15. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Florence.

Due to Leroy’s love of animals, especially his dogs, memorial donations may be made to his family to be directed to local animal shelters.
