Louis E. Havel, 90, formerly of Cecil, died Thursday, December 6, 2018, in Kane Regional Center, Scott Township.
He was born June 21, 1928, in Cecil, a son of the late Louis and Mary Vodli Havel.
He was an industrial electrician for Havel Electric, Westland Mine, Bologna Coal Co. and Kinsey Electric Machinery.
Surviving are his wife, Dolores Castrodale Havel of Scott Township; daughter Cynthia (Angelo) Bioni of Lawrence; two sons, Curtis (Ann Marie) Havel of Fruita, Colo., and Chris Havel of Alexandria, Va.; two grandchildren, Sean Bioni (companion Betty Siders) and Cassandra (Dan) Kirby, both of Lawrence; sister Margaret Zelinsky of McMurray; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, John and James Havel, and two sisters, Mary DePaoli and Irene Keifer.
Private services were held in Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, Tuesday, December 11, followed by interment in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township, with full military honors accorded by Veterans of Foreign Wars 191 Honor Guard.
