Judith Anne Hunter, 71, crossed the Rainbow Bridge Wednesday, December 12, 2018, to be with her beloved daughter and her clowder of kitties.
Judi came into this world on a cold but clear November 9, 1947.
Preceding her in death are her beloved daughter, Kathleen Noel, and her caring father, J. Ray Evans.
Judi is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Frank; her mother, Maryanne of Waynesburg (formally of Sunset Beach, N.C.); her brother, Jeffery and wife Sue; her nephews, Jeffery Evans and wife Lynn, Neil Evans and David Evans, his wife Carol and daughter Amber. Judi is also survived by two loving grandnieces, Mari Rae and Kiera Ann Evans, and a grandnephew, John Logan Evans.
Judi graduated with honors from Bethel Park High School in 1965. She was a four-year member of the Bethel Park marching band, pep band and orchestra. She was a member of the high school student council, a four-year member of the high school varsity rifle team and was involved in school plays. She attended Alderson-Broaddus College, where she meant her future husband. She graduated from Alderson-Broaddus with a teaching degree in language arts.
Judi was a lover of all life, from the smallest insect on the pavement to the horses in the field. She enjoyed feeding the birds and deer that would wander into the yard. She adopted kitties that were in need of love and care. If they were injured, she healed them.
In addition to her beloved daughter, Katie, Judi loved the natural world. When Judi is spotted, and when she and her special friends finally meet, she clings together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon her face and hands again caress the beloved head, and she’ll look once more into the trusting eyes of her pets, so long gone from her life but never absent from her heart. Then Judi and her clowder of kitties will cross Rainbow Bridge together.
Arrangements are being made by Behm Funeral Home in Waynesburg. The family appreciates the love and support shown by the community, but no service or memorial event has been planned at this time.
