Lena Blanche Hughes, 83, of Meadow Lands, died Saturday, December 15, 2018, in her home.

She was born March 10, 1935, in Wheeling, W.Va., a daughter of the late John and Blanche Mills Luckett.

Mrs. Hughes retired from Washington & Jefferson College, following 33 years working as a custodian.

Surviving are six children, Linda J. Burns, Michael (Judy) Luckett, Debra J. Grew, Terry Lee (John) Bucy, Perry Edward Cheek and Penny Marie Cheek; a brother, William Luckett; a sister, Connie McDonald; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Deceased are two daughters, Gerrie Lynn and Sherry Ann Cheek; a grandson, James N. Burns; and a great-granddaughter, Allison Jane Warco.
