Mary Jane Sheldon, 79, of Crucible, went to be with her Lord Saturday, December 15, 2018.
She was born September 10, 1939, in Crucible, a daughter of the late Walter F. and Grace Stewart Maskil.
Mary Jane was a 1958 graduate of Cumberland Township High School.
On May 2, 1964, she married Christopher W. Sheldon Sr., who survives.
Mary Jane was an active member of First United Methodist Church, Carmichaels. She was also a member of MADD and Crucible Ladies Aid Society. She enjoyed reading and square dancing.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons, Christopher W. Sheldon Jr. and wife Danette of Brownsville and Erik H. Sheldon and wife Shay of Crucible; and two grandchildren, Lakelyn Marie Denny and Timothy Luke Sheldon.
Deceased are a son, Jason B. “Dukie” Sheldon, and a brother, Walter E. Maskil.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 21, in First United Methodist Church of Carmichaels with the Rev. Dayton D. Mix officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Gideons Memorial Bibles of Greene County, P.O. Box 732, Waynesburg, PA 15370.
