Stella Karchella, 83, of Canonsburg, died Monday, December 17, 2018.
She was born September 30, 1935, in Cleveland, a daughter of Joseph and Catherine Giebien.
Prior to her retirement, Stella worked as a nurse’s aide at Western Center.
She was a longtime member of the Muse Independent Club and loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are her son, Brian Karchella of Daytona Beach, Fla.; daughters Denise (Roger) Carey of Indiana and Kathy Karchella Dalbo of Canonsburg; sister Diana (Clark) Greyhosky of Denver, Colo.; grandchildren Jason McCleary, Christopher McCleary, Heather Lee Duckworth and Dominique (James) Love; and great-grandchildren Jacquelyn Love, Jillian Love, Declan McCleary, Gianna McCleary, Christopher McCleary Jr., Brian Price and McKenzie Price.
On July 18, 1952, she married her husband, William “Red” Karchella, who died August 17, 1997.
In addition to her parents and husband, deceased are a son, William Karchella; daughter Grace McCleary; brothers Joseph Giebien, Johnny Bicowski; and sisters, Millie Hepman, Josephine Luboski, Helen Sobanski, Jennie Straka and Annie Osinski.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, J.
