Frank H. McNeely

Frank H. McNeely, 86, of Waynesburg, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018, in J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.

He was born April 3, 1932, in Jefferson, a son of the late Harry Randolph McNeely and Nellie Blanche Huffman McNeely.

Frank attended Jefferson High School.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

On August 20, 1955, he married Henrietta Conkle McNeely, who passed away March 31, 2001.

Frank was a retired heavy equipment operator for Local 66. He had also worked at Mather Mine and had served as a Jefferson Township supervisor.

He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Waynesburg and the Broken 12 Hunting Lodge in Sigel.

Frank’s hobbies were hunting deer and later just watching them and sitting on his front porch swing with his two dogs.

He made a difference in people’s lives by cheering others up. He loved to share his old stories and a good joke.

Surviving are four children, Lois NcNeely, Mark McNeely (Jerilyn) and Karen Patterson, all of Waynesburg, and Velma Roberts (Richard) of Spencer, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Jennifer Brady (Timothy), Sara Walls (Jason), Rachel Broadwater (Roger) and Scott Kneisley; seven great-grandchildren, Patrick and Colin Brady, Kaytlynn and Allison Walls, Austin, Remington and Brilynn Broadwater; sister Betty Manrow; two brothers, William McNeely (Virginia) and Douglas McNeely (Christine); four sisters-in-law, Joann Taylor, Nancy McNeely, Dorothy McNeely and Nancy Conkle; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are a son, Barry McNeely; two sisters, Helen Dugan and Lois McNeely; and five brothers, Scott, Allen, George, Arleigh and Hallie McNeely.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of service, Saturday, December 22, in Behm Funeral Home Inc., 182 West High Street, Waynesburg, with Pastor Robert Mooney officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Condolences may be offered at www.behmfh.com.
