Darlene Ruth Ansell, 71, of Wellsburg, W.Va., died Friday, December 21, 2018.

She was born July 26, 1947, in Washington, a daughter of the late Ruth Cutlip.

Mrs. Ansell was a graduate of Avella High School and went on to work in the cafeteria at the school.

An avid Steelers fan, she enjoyed shopping, watching her favorite television shows, her annual vacation with family and spending time with family and friends.

Her husband, Larry Ansell, died March 7, 2003.

Surviving are four sons, Scott Ansell of Washington, Randy (Melissa) Ansell of Avella, Larry Ansell of Falling Waters, W.Va., and Timothy (Peggy) Ansell of Follansbee, W.Va.; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are two brothers, Robert and William Cutlip, and a sister, Madelyn Cutlip.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation or service. Arrangements are entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
