Steven E. Sisul Jr.
Steven E. Sisul Jr., 71, of Washington, died Friday, December 21, 2018, in his home, following a lengthy battle with Crohn’s disease and cancer.
He was born July 19, 1947, in Washington, a son of the late Seven E. and Helen Strinsha Sisul.
Mr. Sisul was a 1965 graduate of Trinity High School.
He was a safety manager at Fairmont Supply for 30 years. He then spent 12 years as a counselor for Catholic Cemeteries Association. He worked a plethora of part-time jobs along the way. He was a funeral assistant at Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, a private investigator for Knight Investigations, a patrol officer for North Franklin Township and a volunteer firefighter for North Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company. Most recently, he drove a student van for GG&C Bus Co. He loved his job transporting his little friend Nate to Pioneer Education Center.
Mr. Sisul served in the Pennsylvania National Guard.
In his free time, he enjoyed collecting ’50s music. He was a NASCAR fan and his favorite driver was Jeff Gordon.
On February 7, 1970, in St. Hilary Catholic Church, Washington, he married Carole Skiviat, who survives.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Greg Sisul of Los Angeles, Calif., and Michael (Megan) Sisul of Carnegie, and a sister, Julie Sisul of Washington.
Deceased is a daughter, Michelle Sisul, who died in infancy.
