Lois Ann Langenbacher Paul

Lois Ann Langenbacher Paul, 93, of Washington, died suddenly Sunday, December 23, 2018, in Washington Hospital.

She was born November 22, 1925, in Washington, a daughter of the late Joseph T. and Helen Decker Langenbacher.

Mrs. Paul was a 1943 graduate of Washington High School, and went on to work at Richman Bros., Washington, for over 20 years.

She was a member of Faith United Presbyterian Church, Washington, where she belonged to the knitting club and made knitted caps for newborns.

In addition to knitting, she enjoyed bowling and reading mysteries.

On April 2, 1945, in Winchester, Va., she married Marvin M. Paul, who died January 2, 1997.

Surviving are a son, Edward M. (Linda) Paul of Washington; daughter Sue A. (Lisa Lubitz) McKinney of Shelbyville, Ind.; four grandchildren, Deann (Daniel) Lobozzo, Richard L. McKinney Jr., Nichole (Marc) Maglietta and Edward M.L. Paul; five great-grandchildren, Danielle and Dominic Lobozzo, Melena Maglietta, Gwen Paul and Michael Rowles; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased is a brother, Thomas J. Langenbacher.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, December 28, with the Rev. Jason Hefner officiating. Interment will follow in Lone Pine Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Washington Area Humane Society at www.washingtonpashelter.org or to the veterans’ charity of choice.
