David Vrana

David Vrana, 57, of Carmichaels, died Thursday, December 20, 2018, in his home.
Mr. Vrana was a son of the late Joseph and Anna Mae Holupka Vrana.
He was a graduate of Carmichaels Area High School and California University of Pennsylvania.
David worked in several area retail businesses and did volunteer work for several community organizations. He helped start car shows in Southwestern Pennsylvania.
In his spare time, David enjoyed photography, traveling and watching the Pittsburgh Pirates and General Hospital.
David played the accordion since elementary school, and enjoyed performing at Christmas shows for nursing home patients.
He was a member of St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church in Carmichaels, where he served as a youth and adult altar server, a member of the Holy Name Society and worked at the annual turkey bingo and other fundraisers. He designed the church’s 50th anniversary book and magnets.
David is survived by a sister, Christine (Richard) Greenwood, nieces and cousins.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 29, in St. Hugh Church, Carmichaels. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Hugh Church.
