Donald Ralph Swaggard
Donald Ralph Swaggard, 80, of Washington, died Friday, December 21, 2018, in Transitions Health Care.
He was born July 25, 1938, in Washington, a son of the late Frank and Helen Grosich Swaggard.
Donald was a graduate of Washington High School and attended Washington Institute of Technology, where he received his certification in drafting.
He was a member of First Lutheran Church and was an avid coin collector. He enjoyed attending auctions and fishing.
On August 9, 1990, he married, Nancy Logan, who died September 8, 2015.
Surviving are two stepsons, Theodore (Karen) Cukryznski and John (Betsy) Cukryznski; two stepdaughters, Deborah (Reed) Whipkey and Pamela (Donnie) Opfar; brother James (Koni) Swaggard of Palm City, Fla.; sister Carolyn Miller of Burgettstown; nine stepgrandchildren; nine stepgreat-grandchildren; and 10 nieces and nephews, with whom he was very close, Shawn, Amy, Mary, Andrew, Beth Ann, Chris, Diane, Ronald, Martin and Travis.
Deceased, in addition to his wife and parents, are two brothers, Ronald and David Swaggard.
A memorial gathering will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., the time of service, Saturday, December 29, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with the Rev. Dr. Roger Raymond Fisher officiating. Additional information and a guest book are available at www.NealFuneralHome.com.
