Much beloved James Reed “Jim” Orr passed Sunday, December 30, 2018, in his home in East Washington, after a six-month struggle with stage four lung cancer.

He leaves his wife, Kathy Wells Orr; parents Lyn and Almer; brothers Tom and Bob Orr; niece Anna; and three beloved cats.

James Orr was born November 6, 1961, in West Penn Hospital to Carolyn Orr and Almer H. Orr. After studying at Shadyside Academy and Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Jim pursued his humanitarian interests through the photographic arts. Some of his proudest accomplishments included his ongoing work with Little Lake Theatre, and receiving the Al Boilen Award for his documentation of the restoration of his home.

There will be no visitation. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 6, in Little Lake Theatre.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Little Lake Theatre, 500 Lakeside Drive, Canonsburg, PA 15317.
