Mary M. Markulik, 89, of Washington, died Saturday, December 29, 2018, in South Hills Rehabilitation and Wellness Center.

She was born October 31, 1929, in Lynchburg, a daughter of the late Howard Phillip Young and Mary Frances Ayers Young.

Mrs. Markulik was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. She enjoyed knitting and crafts.

Mrs. Markulik retired from Brockway Glass after 33 years of service. In addition, she was a registered nurse who owned a personal care home in Washington for many years.

In July 1953, she married William Charles Markulik, who died September 11, 1981.

Surviving are two sons, Charles W. Markulik (Ashley) and Michael H. Markulik Sr.; a brother, John Young; two sisters, Charlotte Young and Linda Fabrizio (John); nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a son, John, and sisters Betty and Florence.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon, the time of a blessing service, Saturday, January 5, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Burial will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
