Francis Chacko

Francis Chacko, 69, of Willow Grove, formerly of Charleroi, passed away Friday, February 2, 2018, in The Landing in Willow Grove.

He was born January 10, 1949, a son of Frank and Emma McChancey Chacko.

Mr. Chacko was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting, fishing, hiking and sports shooting. He also loved to travel.

He worked for 44 years at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp., Allenport plant, and retired in the position of mechanical expediter.

Surviving are his loving wife, Tamara Chacko; stepdaughter Amanda Petry and husband Kent; beloved “poppy” to Lily and Abigail Petry; sister Deb Varner; cousins Marsha Chacko, Dan Chacko, Barb and Bob Cardinals, Pam and Ed Hartshorn and Clayton and Suzie Chacko; aunt Ruth McChancey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Chacko’s family hopes he finds his way to “The Rainbow Bridge,” where he will be reunited to his beloved chocolate Labrador retriever, Keaton. “Keep him safe, Keaton.”

Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 9 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 6, in Carl J. Spallino Funeral Home, 819 Fallowfield Avenue, Charleroi, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Mary, Mother of the Church, 624 Washington Avenue, Charleroi, with the Rev. Jerry Mikonis as celebrant. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela.

Professional arrangements are under the direction of Thomas F. Dolfi Funeral Home, 136 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown.
