Robert Francis Queen
Robert Francis Queen, 87, of Bentleyville, died Tuesday, January 30, 2018, in Canonsburg Hospital.
He was born February 20, 1930, in Washington, a son of the late Charles and Rose Rival Queer.
A graduate of Washington High School, Mr. Queen worked as a truck driver for Suwak Trucking for 39 years.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from January 8, 1949, until his honorable discharge February 6, 1950, with a rank of fireman apprentice.
Mr. Queen was Roman Catholic.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching NASCAR and Western movies.
Surviving are a son, Bob Queen (Lisa Durila) of Marianna; three daughters, Debbie (Jim) Romano, Maryann (Jerry) Hatfield and Jamie (Scott) Clark, all of Washington; a sister, Arlene Plott of Washington; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his companion, Mary K. Worthington.
Deceased are a brother, Charles Queer, and a sister, Nellie Baxter.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 9, with Father Don Chortos officiating. Burial will follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township, with military rites accorded graveside by American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175, Washington.
