Laurence Leslie Cross, 81, of Adena, Ohio, formerly of Cecil, died Wednesday, February 7, 2018.
He was born February 8, 1936, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Vern Leslie and Mary Gertrude Tobias Cross.
Mr. Cross served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was a self-employed brick mason with his sons, then with Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 9, until his retirement.
He enjoyed wintering in Florida, hunting and fishing.
Surviving are son Larry Cross of Washington; daughter Penny (Travis) Warren of Adena; son Leslie Cross of Adena; 13 grandchildren, Amy (Curtice) Price, Adam Cross and Mason Cross, all of Washington, Leslie Cross Jr., Brandon Cross, Casey (Ashley) Cross, Cory (Ashley) Cross, all of Arizona, Wayne (Renee) Zambelli, in the U.S. Army, Nicole (Doug) Hurst of New York, B.J. (Erin) Rose of Florida, Andy (Laura) Rose of Pittsburgh, Ronnie Rose of Florida and Richard (Katie) Warren of New Philadelphia, Ohio; 22 great-grandchildren; six sisters, Beverly Blair of North Carolina, Shirl Senay of Washington, Louise Turiczek of Cecil, Vida (Frank) Dellorso of Washington, Mary Lou (Jerry) Arlia of Belview and Debbie (Sam) Williams of Canonsburg; and a brother, Jerry (Alberta) Cross of Carnegie.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, is his wife, Eleanor J. Cross, who died in 2017.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road, Cecil, PA 15321, where services will be held at noon Tuesday, February 13, with Pastor Steve Dunlap officiating. Interment will follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township, with full military honors accorded by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 191 Honor Guard, Canonsburg.
