Douglas W. Crooks, 62, of Washington, died Tuesday, February 13, 2018, in Donnell House, Washington, following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born September 9, 1955, in Niagara Falls, N.Y., a son of the late Russell J. and Elizabeth G. Watt Crooks.
Mr. Crooks was a graduate of Fort Frye High School in Lowell, Ohio.
He was Roman Catholic.
Mr. Crooks served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was employed at Consolidated Natural Gas for over 30 years, from where he retired.
He was a member of American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175. He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycles, was a big sports fan and loved to fish. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially time spent with his grandchildren.
Surviving are a daughter, Misty Dawn (Robb) Holloway of Washington; a son, Douglas W. Crooks II; three grandchildren, Skylar, Mason and Nicholas; a stepgranddaughter, Kelsye; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother and father, deceased are two brothers, Russell and Donald Crooks, and a sister, Agnes Crooks.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the time of service, Saturday, February 17, in Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., Wilson at East Katherine avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director, with Pastor Brian Greenleaf officiating. Burial will be private.
