Frances M. “Judy” Powell, 93, of Cokeburg, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018, in Washington Hospital.

She was born February 22, 1924, in Ontario, a daughter of the late Teresa Zeli.

Mrs. Powell was a homemaker and also owned and operated Powell’s Dairy Bar in Cokeburg.

She was a member of Cokeburg Presbyterian Church and a former member of Cokeburg Moose 1629 and Sons of Italy 609.

Mrs. Powell loved to bake and sold bread to many area restaurants. She also loved traveling all over the United States in their recreational vehicle with her husband, Walter G. Powell, who died December 6, 1999.

Surviving are five sons, William W. Powell (Henrietta) of Scenery Hill, Robert Powell (Rita) of Howell, Mich., Richard Powell (Jennifer) of Cokeburg, David Powell (Cynthia) of Bethel Park and Daniel Powell (Greschen) of Moon Township; a sister, Sarah Sekunda of Florida; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are a daughter, Linda Day; and two brothers, Jerome “Beek” McKee and Enus Galensky.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 17, with Pastor Fran Skariot officiating.
