Edward Allen Dulaney, 57, of Waynesburg, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018, following a lengthy battle against COPD and emphysema.

He was born October 19, 1960, in Waynesburg, a son of Rachel Mayle Dulaney of Harrisburg and the late John Edward Dulaney. He was a grandson of the late Fred and Madge Dulaney and the late Tom and Jean Mayle.

He grew up on what was then R.D. 3. Like his father, in his heart he was always a “Sugar Run boy.”

He was a 1980 graduate of Waynesburg Central High School and attended Hiram G. Andrews Career Center.

Until his health forced him to retire, he was employed as a maintenance worker for Greene County. He was proud of how clean the county courthouse was under his care.

Mr. Dulaney was Christian.

He was a past member of Eagles Club and a social member of Veteran of Foreign Wars and American Legion.

Although it came late in his life, he was very proud that he had recently earned his two-year sobriety coin from Alcoholics Anonymous.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are a sister, Joy Dulaney Drake and husband Jim of Harrisburg; two brothers, Rick Dulaney and Sean Dulaney and wife Tenley, both of Harrisburg; a niece, Faith Drake; two nephews, Jonathon Dulaney and Aiden Dulaney; and his aunt, Cindy Brewer, with whom he shared a special bond. She was his caregiver during much of his adult life and throughout his illness.

There will be no viewing or services at this time. A memorial will be planned at the discretion of the family. Mr. Dulaney will be cremated. Some warm summer day, Aunt Cin will walk to the top of Grandma Dulaney’s hill and scatter his ashes.
