Allen Dwayne Ammons, 56, of Victorian Drive, Fairmont, W.Va., passed away Monday, February 19, 2018, in his home following a brief illness.

He was born September 14, 1961, in Fort Stewart, Ga., a son of Myrtle Strawn Ammons of Inman, S.C., and the late Bobbie Ammons.

Surviving are a son, Chase Ammons of Fairmont; a daughter, Adison Ammons of Fairmont; a brother, Dale Ammons of Fairview, W.Va.; and a sister, Pam Ammons King and husband Stan of Union, S.C.

Mr. Ammons was a graduate of Waynesburg University with an associate degree in business. He was an operations manager with Dominion Gas Company with 27 years of service.

He was a member of Leadership West Virginia and South Ridge Church in Fairmont. He loved golf and hunting.

Family and friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday in Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, W.Va. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 24, in Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Township, with the Rev. Robert Bedison officiating.
