Garnet P. Weaverling, 60, of Humble, Texas, formerly of Southview, died Friday, February 23, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born August 11, 1957, in Albany, Ga., a daughter of the late Cyril and Patricia Amber Girasek.
Mrs. Weaverling was Catholic.
On August 28, 1986, she married the love of her life, George “Dave” Weaverling Jr., who survives.
Mrs. Weaverling loved taking care of her family, doing yard work (landscaping), shopping and spending time with her beloved dog, Rayven.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons, Cyril Weaverling of Katy, Texas, and David (Lisa) Weaverling of Burgettstown; a daughter, Christy Weaverling Kampos of Oakdale; two brothers, Andy (Lisa) Girasek of Tampa, Fla., and Gerry (Karen) Girasek of Pittsburgh; two sisters, Sherry and Cyra; grandchildren, Tyler and Cody McCalmon, Wendy Moreau, Logan Kampos and Allana and David Weaverling; and several nieces and nephews, including niece Stephanie Yuhas, with whom she shared a special bond.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are four children, David, Anna Marie, Paula and Andrew Vermeulen, all of whom died in infancy; and three siblings, Toni (Doug) Hardy, Margie DeAngeles and Mike DeAngeles.
There will be no public viewing or services at this time. Arrangements are entrusted to Rosewood Funeral Home, Humble. The family will have a memorial service at a later date where she was most happy, in Pennsylvania.
