Lee A. Murphy, 63, of Carmichaels, died Tuesday, February 27, 2018, in Washington Hospital.

He was born January 13, 1955, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Frank and Dolores May Stoewhaas Murphy.

Mr. Murphy had served in the U.S. Army.

He worked for over 40 years as a security guard for Burns International and then Securitas.

Mr. Murphy was a member of Fraternal Order of Police, Chiefs of Police Association and Pennsylvania State Sheriffs Association.

He attended Hewitt Presbyterian Church at one time.

Surviving are his siblings, Fawn Lilley of Clarksville, Patty (Ron) Rose of Waynesburg, Herman Murphy of Clarksville, Michelle (Scott) Fischer of Carmichaels and Edward (Rose) Murphy of Pittsburgh; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased is his wife, Evelyn Molesy Fischer Murphy.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., the time of services, Saturday, March 3, in Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, PA 15344, with the Rev. Donald P. Wilson officiating.
